After 20 hours on board we finally reach feeling tired and disoriented! It was 12 am in the morning. Luckily, the owner of Villa Fontini, Mr Yaris waited for us! We told him that we will be there at 10pm, we were really worried that we will not see him.
Anyone going to Santorini, there will be lots of room owners touting at the terminal so don't worry too much should you not have arrange an accomodations. Do also note that the ferry terminal is at the bottom of the cliff so if you think that we will like to walk to the town to escape from the touts, do think twice.....you need to climb the steep hill up before you see civilization. We did see backpackers attemping to walk up but gave up halfway.
We stayed at Firostefanie and the town of Fira it is about 5 mins quick walk via the back alley or a 10 mins scenic walk along the cliff side houses. Location of the villa was great and cost us 40euros, just behind us you will get a picturesque scene, the best sunset view. It was very romantic, felt really nice to be here.
Kamari/Perissa/Red Beach
Santorini have numerous beaches but the most famous and accessible are, Kamari, Perissa and Red beach. Kamari is a 20 mins bus ride from the town square, once we reach we saw that there were no sand it was a pebble beach . Perissa on the other hand is 30 mins away and was quieter than Kamari. The water was realy clear and the sand was black and soft. It was my favourite.
Oia-World Famous Sunset Spot
On the last day of our stayed we head to Oia, to get there we hike for 3 hours. we were quite disappointed when we reach Oia as we felt that the place has be overrate. It was nice but fira has equally beautiful sunset too.
