Barcelona

Barcelona is a one of the most vibrant cities that we went to.  Lots of activities, peoples and things happening in Ramblas.  We went to the Sagrada familia and Nou camp.  Had some really good tapas too!

Provences

We went to Provences, choosing to stay at Arles because we could not get a room in Avignon. Arles is 1 1/2hr away from Avignon and this is the place where Van Gogh painted his Starry night, compare the picture above to his painting and you will see the similarities. We also caught our very first Bull fight in Arles, held at the famous Arena (Roman Amphitheathre) for 10 euros.
Avignon which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is popular for sights like the "Palace of the Popes" and the St Benezet Bridge. The bridge has initially 22 arches but today only 4 are left as seen in th picture above. Entry to the Palace is 9.50euro and the bridge 4euros.
It was in Provences, that we decide to splurge on a authentic french Provencal meal. It was delicious and the best! The damage for that meal was a 3 course set dinner for 16 euro per pax but its was really worth it! Too bad we forgot the camera.

Cote De Azure

We went to the playground of the rich and famous, the Cote De Azure, visiting Nice , Villefranche and Monaco. Even winning some $ at the casino!

The beach in Nice is really amazing, beautiful blue waters. But the beach has no sand, its all rocks! Water was really freezing cold.

We also tries the famous "Socca" its chickpea crepes and its yummy! Look out for Theresa's Socca, her pizza are delicious too!

Head to Castle Hill for a view of Nice.

Lauterbrunnen

There is a nickname for lauterbrunnen, its called heaven on earth. You will know why when you are there!

We took a 5 hours hike that bought us from Grutschalp to Murren (1634m) to Gimmelwald and back to Lauterbrunnen. It was during this hike that we discover that Murren was also really beautiful hence after staying at the Valley Hostel for 3 days we decide to move over and spent another 4 days there. We manage to get a room that provided us with a view of Jungfrau. While we were there we hike again to Schiltalp (1946m) which took us 3 hours.
